Discuss it with your dentist first
It may happen that you are not completely satisfied with a treatment. Discuss this with your dentist first. A good conversation often helps to find a solution together.
Can't figure it out?
Free help
Would you prefer to involve an independent third party? Then you can file a complaint with the KNMT, the professional association to which our practice is affiliated. A KNMT complaints officer will help you and your dentist reach a solution free of charge.
Dispute
Are we still unable to reach a solution together, even with the help of the complaints officer? Then you can take your complaint to the Disputes Authority for Oral Care. You pay €75 for this.
A committee of five experts assesses the situation. They give a binding verdict and - if your complaint is justified - can award compensation of up to €25,000.
KNMT Complaints Procedure per 1-1-2026
The KNMT Complaints Scheme for Oral Care describes the procedure of handling patient complaints against oral care providers affiliated to the Complaints Scheme. This settlement takes place via the KNMT Complaints Service.Â
