Transparent bracket

You get regular teeth by wearing transparent braces, or ‘aligners’. An aligner is plastic, virtually invisible and removable.

What is an aligner?

Clear braces, or aligners, are a modern way to straighten teeth. No metal clasps or wires are needed. You get transparent sleeves that fit precisely over your teeth. These sleeves move your teeth step by step to the correct position.

Who is an aligner or clear brace suitable for?

In our practice, we use aligners only on adults. The dentist always checks whether your teeth are suitable first.

If so, we take an overview radiograph (OPT) and a treatment plan.

Are aligners reimbursed?

Reimbursement is only possible (partially) if you have supplementary insurance for orthodontics.

You pay a fee for the treatment plan. If you have the treatment carried out, we will deduct these costs from the total again.

How long should you wear an aligner?

You wear the aligners for about 22 hours a day and replace them with a new set every 10 days.

On average, treatment takes about 9 months, but this can vary from person to person.
