Wendy van Kuler's Zuidas

Perhaps you've already noticed them, the photographs on the wall. Or perhaps you were so lost in thought that they escaped your notice. Next time, please take a moment to look closely.

Since 2013, the photos in our waiting room have been changing themes. Every six months, a new series is hung: always a different subject, a different mood. We have looked at Iceland, Buddhist monks in Myanmar, abstract glass images, Christmas atmosphere, and, recognisable to many, the Town Hall and the heathland around Hilversum.

All these series are by the photographer Wendy van Kuler.

The series *De Zuidas* is currently airing on television.
Captured in a way that radiates power and serenity simultaneously.

Wendy:
“The Zuidas continues to fascinate me. The enormous glass buildings, clean lines and reflections constantly change with the light, the weather and the time of day. In this series, I've tried to capture that combination of power, rhythm and beauty, in both colour and black and white.
I love discovering the abstract shapes and small details in architecture: a reflection in glass, a play of lines on a facade, or sunlight that falls just right. My way of looking creates images that are sometimes graphic and powerful, but can also exude calm and stillness.”

The chance of a permanent malformation

Your child adores their dummy. It’s soothing, helps them fall asleep, and frankly, you benefit too. But what does that dummy actually do to their teeth?

When do you take your child to the dentist for the first time?

As soon as the first teeth appear, or by the first birthday at the latest.

Once your child's first teeth start to come through, it's a good idea to schedule their first visit to the dentist. The first visit is intended to help them get used to things: the chair, the lights, and a friendly face. The earlier you start, the greater the chance of a lifetime of anxiety-free dental visits.
