Van Linschoten Tandartsen aims for everyone to be able to use our website, regardless of disabilities or aids. We believe it is important that our information is accessible to as many people as possible and have therefore taken steps to make the website user-friendly and accessible.

Compliance status

Our website satisfies partially to the WCAG 2.2 guidelines at level A (basic level).

This means that part of the accessibility requirements have been implemented, but not all parts are fully compliant yet.

What have we done to make the website accessible?

The design and development of the website took into account:

• Clear and consistent navigation
• Correct use of headings and structure
• Accessible buttons and forms
• Descriptive alt texts in images
• Sufficient colour contrast between text and background
• Keyboard navigation where possible
• Use of comprehensible language at B1 level
• Minimising distracting animations

The website was built in WordPress with Elementor, with additional measures taken to mitigate known accessibility issues.

Known accessibility problems

Despite our efforts, there are still items that may not fully comply with WCAG 2.2 A. These include:

• Interaction elements of embeds (such as Exquise appointment module via iframe) whose behaviour is of limited influence.
• Third-party dynamic elements such as the cookie banner, PDFs or embedded videos.
• Screenreader sequence in some complex layouts, which we are optimising even further.
• Keyboard focus on a few components which may be improved depending on future updates of the software used.

We are working to improve these points within the technical possibilities.
